Job Description:
Review and determine inventory levels, releasing purchase orders to optimize stock levels while minimizing shortages and overstock at warehouses and 3PL.
Monitor and control purchase orders and shipments, updating delivery schedules for related teams.
Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing to acquire inventory cost-effectively and on schedule.
Communicate with suppliers and vendors to resolve issues related to orders, shipments, or product quality.
Compare and analyze price, quality, availability and term and conditions of suppliers.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to optimize cost savings and terms.
Quantify and maintain rolling 12-month SKU forecasts analyzing sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to influence demand forecasts.
Support the preparation of supply chain reports and documentation.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners to align on forecasting and replenishment strategies and to ensure smooth operations across supply chain.
Participate in meetings with senior supply chain professionals to discuss efficiency strategies.
