Job Summary
Jimini Health is seeking a Head of Design to lead product design, user experience, design systems, and brand identity across its AI-powered mental health platform. This role combines hands-on product design, leadership, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end patient experience from onboarding through ongoing care
Design AI-powered patient and clinician experiences
Lead UX for the Sage Clinician Platform
Define and evolve company design systems and visual identity
Establish scalable design processes and culture
Partner closely with product and engineering teams
Use AI-powered design and prototyping tools
Improve trust, safety, accessibility, and usability across products
Participate in customer meetings, sprint planning, and product strategy
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Product Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field
Experience
7+ years of Product Design experience
Experience owning consumer-facing products
Startup experience required
Experience as a Founding Designer or First Designer preferred
Previous Design Lead or Design Manager experience
Experience remaining hands-on with daily design work
Health Tech or regulated industry experience preferred
Technical Skills
Expert-level Figma proficiency
Design systems and component libraries
High-fidelity product design
UX/UI design
AI prototyping tools including:

Figma Make
Vibe Coding workflows
Additional Requirements
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience participating in customer-facing discussions
Project management experience
Ability to break large initiatives into actionable plans
Must be able to work from the New York City office 2–3 days per week
