In the past month, ICE Boston has arrested five fugitive illegal aliens throughout New England. All five illegal alien offenders have foreign arrest warrants for murder or homicide in their home countries, and some are facing additional charges.
As excitement builds for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, ICE is warning sports fans to remain vigilant against criminals seeking to profit from the global event through the sale of counterfeit merchandise.
The partnership combines the IPR Center’s expertise in investigating and disrupting criminal organizations involved in counterfeit pharmaceuticals and medical devices with Rx-360’s global network of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
The enforcement effort is part of “Operation Team Player,” a nationwide, multiagency operation conducted in conjunction with the IPR Center, CBP, state and local authorities, and major sports leagues to identify international shipments, online marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, markets and other retail outlets engaged in the sale of counterfeit goods.
